The University of Kaiserslautern is a relatively new research-oriented German university with a scientific-technological profile. It consists of 10 departments offering 85 study programmes to 12,100 students. All departments have state-of-the-art technology equipment and laboratories and offer highly attractive research opportunities in frontier areas of science and technology. A number of modern university residencies and international guest houses contribute to the excellent living conditions and the high satisfaction of our multi-cultural student body and faculties. The Department of magnetism at Fachbereich Physik is headed by Prof. Dr. Burkard Hillebrands. He is currently the vice-president of Technische Universitat Kaiserslautern. |
